Submit your annual progress report on or before 30 July or 30 January for the August / February reviews respectivey.


The annual progress report (along with the budget status sheet) have to be submitted in the prescribed format on or before 15th July or 30th January for the August and February reviews respectively. The PI is advised to send an unsigned copy by email on or before the deadline. The signed copy may be submitted at the time of review.

 

Templates for progress report as well as budget status are provided at the bottom of this page.


PI's may please note the following carefully before submitting the annual progress report ! 


  1. Please provide a brief account of the work carried out under the project in the last one year, citing details of experimental setup (if any), important results and other relevant information.

 

  1. Please provide details of any publication (research report / conference presentation/paper / journal paper) arising from the project . Copies of  publications can be submitted at the time of review.

 

  1. Along with the progress report, please also submit the budget status report (excel sheet). Please list the budget utilization under all the heads mentioned in your sanction letter, along with amount spent and amounts committed (approximate). Please provide appropriate justifications for delays (if any) in expenditure under major budget heads. Any requirement for additional budget should reflect in the budget status sheet along with details of requirement and appropriate justifications and it needs to be approved by the BRFST board during the review.

 

  1. Please list the status of all the equipment /fabricated items listed in your project proposal. If the budget has overshot / under-spent the sanctioned amount, kindly indicate with appropriate justifications.

 

  1. Unspent money WILL NOT be available for use in the next year, but will be adjusted against the subsequent year’s sanctioned budget, unless otherwise sanctioned by the board.

 

  1. Please note that purchase of equipment that is NOT listed in the project report and hence not sanctioned by the board will not permitted.

 

  1. Any changes in spending under various budget heads requires prior permission of the board.

 

  1. Please list details of all manpower employed under the sanctioned project.

 

  1. Kindly submit this progress report (soft copy) as well as budget status sheet (does not require signature) to BRFST on or before 30th July or 30th January (as the case might be for August and February reviews). The signed copy can be submitted at the time of review.

 

  1. Please send a forward copy (unsigned) by email well before the deadline. Signed copy of the report and annexure (if any) can be submitted at the time of review.

 

  1. Please note that the BRFST committee will review your progress report and decide if you have to make a presentation of your work done. Sanction of subsequent year’s budget will be based on the review committee’s report.

 

  1. The PI is advised to adequately interact with the IPR-coordinator before writing / submitting the annual progress report.

 

  1. The official budget utilization certificate (as per the PI's institute's format) should be submitted to BRFST as and when it is made available to them by their institute.
